Double File Trail Elementary School All grade levels at DFT participated in a STEAM challenge last week. Each group was asked to build the tallest tower possible using nothing but notched cardboard pieces — no tape, no glue! The groups were given 1 minute to make a plan and 4 minutes to build. The challenge was to make a tower that could stand by itself at the end of the 4 minutes. They built some pretty amazing structures. After examining the other teams’ structures and discussing what went well and what didn’t, they got to try again — this time with only 3 minutes. The teamwork and resulting structures were awesome! Synergy in action!
