DFT – Digital Footprints in Flip Grid

Mrs. Labrador’s second grade students are using Flip Grid to explain “digital footprints” and how they can protect theirs!  Each student explained “digital footprints” (evidence of their internet activity) in their own words, described steps they could take to make sure they have a positive digital footprint, and then viewed their classmates videos and responded to them.  Flip Grid is a website (and iPad app) that allows teachers to create “grids” of short discussion-style questions that students respond to through recorded videos. Each grid is effectively a message board where students can post 90-second videos that appear in a tiled “grid” display. It can be used as a way for students to show what they know about a topic, demonstrate a math problem, act out a skit, ask a question, and more!
